CTD foils major terror bid in Kohlu

QUETTA: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday foiled a major bid of terrorism by seizing a huge catch of arms and ammunition from the Kohlu district of Balochistan.
Security sources said CTD teams from Kohlu and Sibi participated in the operation and foiled the terror bid. The security personnel seized weapons in Mawand tehsil of Kohlu from a mountainous area.
The terrorists had dumped weapons to carry out subversive activities in the province, sources said. The weapons include 8 mortar shells and other weapons during the operation. However, no arrest made during the action.
Security forces have intensified operations against miscreants in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan recently.
