Blast kills 2 in Panjgur Balochistan

A blast has killed 2 people in Balochistan’s Panjgur district on Sunday. Police sources said the bomb went off at Washbud staff in Panjgur Bazar. Police said the target of the blast was the vehicle of security forces patrolling in the area. Three security personnel were also injured in the blast, which rocked the entire area.

The dead bodies were shifted to district headquarters hospital Panjgur for postmortem. Three injured security personnel were also rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. Police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.

Police said the terrorists had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) in a motorcycle parked on the roadside. Panic prevailed in the area in the aftermath of the blast that rocked the entire area.

Bizenjo condemns bomb explosion

Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the terrorist incident in Panjgur. He directed the law enforcement agencies to apprehend the culprits behind the terror attack. He said the perpetrators of the blast would be brought to justice.

The Chief Minister said a strategy in consultation with all stakeholders would be made to eradicate the curse of terrorism from Balochistan. He vowed that the terrorists would be brought to book.
