Quad i Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s statue was damaged in a bomb attack in Gwadar, Pakistan’s port city. The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) registered First Information Report (FIR) against unknown terrorists. In the FIR, terrorism, explosive act and other sections are included in the FIR, sources in the CTD stated.

The statue was erected earlier this year at the Marine Zone, which is considered to be one of the red zones in the port city.

An outlawed Baloch militant group claimed the responsibility for the attack. Official sources said some miscreants had planted an explosive device beneath the statue and blew it up. No arrest has been made so far in connection with the bomb attack.

Police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot of the blast after the incident.
