Panjgur: Minor boy brutally murdered

Unknown accused brutally murdered a minor boy in Balochistan’s Panjgur district. The accused had first kidnapped the minor and then brutally murdered. The incident sparked protest in Panjgur. A large number of protesters marched on the roads of Panjgur seeking justice for Abdul Qadir, the minor boy.

Angry protesters staged a protest demonstration outside the Panjgur police station and demanded the arrest of the culprits involved in the murder. The protesters were also carrying the dead body of the minor boy.

“Where is government and police”, Protesters lament 

“Where is government and where is the police”, one of the speakers lamented during the protest. The speakers lashed out at police for what they called their failure to protect the lives and properties of the people.

“This is an inhuman act”, one of the protesters whose video shared on social media said. He said the government has assured the arrest of the culprits. “We want action not words”, he said.

Finance Minister Balochistan, Zahoor Buledi also took to social media network Twitter and strongly condemned the incident. He said the culprits involved in the incident would be brought to justice.

Violence against women and children on a constant rise in Balochistan

Violence against women and children is on a constant rise in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. However, police and levies have arrested the culprits involved in brutal murders of minors in Quetta, Killa Abdullah, and Kalat districts.

Chief Justice Balochistan High Court, Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail had also taken notice of rampant child abuses in the province. The Chief Justice had directed all concerned quarters to step up efforts to apprehend the culprits in this regard.

Rights groups have also expressed serious concern over increasing acts of violence against women and children in Balochistan.
