BUITEMS will remain closed till April 25th

The Balochistan University of Information Technology Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) will remain closed till April 25th. The university closed on April 12 in view of increasing cases of the COVID19.

“The university will reopen on April 26”, Dr. Faisal Kakar, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor BUITEMS told Quetta Voice. Academic activities suspended on the directives of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) after the outbreak of the third wave of COVID19.

Corona SOPs to be implemented 

The university administration has directed the students to ensure their attendance on April 26th. Dr. Kakar however mentioned that the students have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

“Wearing masks compulsory for all students, administrative staff and faculty members”, the pro-vice-chancellor stated.

Primary, middle schools closed in Balochistan

Primary and middle schools across Balochistan would remain closed till Eid ul Fitar. The government has taken this step in view of increasing cases of the COVID19. The Balochistan education department has made this decision in light of the recommendations by the NCOC, Sher Khan Bazai, the Secretary of Education said.

Academic activities from class one to eight will remain suspended 

Academic activities from class one to eighth will remain suspended till Eid in all public and private schools throughout the province, Mr. Bazai said. The government has however decided to keep high schools for students of class 9th and 10th in Balochistan, he mentioned.

SBK closed till April 30th 

Sardar Bahadur Khan (SBK) women’s university would remain closed after the outbreak of the third wave of COVID19. Academic activities would remain suspended from April 15 to 30th of April, a notification issued by the SBK said on Wednesday.

Students to be taught through online classes 

The university would however keep continuing teaching students through online classes, the notification mentioned. The administrative section of the university would also remain closed.
