Khuzdar: Blast injured 4 labourers

A roadside blast injured 4 labourers in Balochistan’s Khuzdar city on Thursday. Police sources said a roadside bomb went off with a big band in the Kathan area of Khuzdar.

The blast injured four labourers. Police and rescue workers rushed the injured to the district headquarters hospital in Khuzdar.

Labourers belong to Punjab and KP

Police said the labourers belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces. The injured labourers were working in a construction company in Khuzdar. Police mentioned that the bomb exploded when a vehicle of the security forces passed through the area.

However, the blast injured four labourers engaged in the construction work nearby.

Shahwani condemns the attack

The spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani strongly condemned the blast and termed it a coward act on the part of miscreants. “The miscreants would be brought to justice”, Mr Shahwani said.

Security tightened in the aftermath of the blast in the Kathan area of Khuzdar. Police and Levies personnel deployed in the city after the attack.

This attack has come a day after two people suffered injuries in a hand grenade attack in Quetta.
