“Jobs on sale”, claims Gohram Bugti

Member Balochistan Assembly from Dera Bugti, Nawabzada Gohram Bugti in a video has claimed that ‘jobs on sale”, in his native district. In the video, Mr. Bugti who belongs to the Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) made this claim while addressing a crowd of people. JWP is part of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) led government in the province.

“Money worked in the recruitment process here”, Mr. Bugti thundered in the video widely shared on social media. The video prompted Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan to take notice of the video and ordered the concerned quarters to submit a report.

Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan took to Twitter and said the CM has directed to ensure merit. “The concerned quarters directed to submit a report”, Mr. Shahwani tweeted.

5% disabled quota also sold out 

Gohram Bugti pointed out that a 5 percent quota reserved for disabled people in government jobs in Balochistan. He alleged that 15 posts reserved for the disabled were also sold out in the Dera Bugti district. “Money proved to be more powerful than disabled people”, the JWP legislator lamented.

In Balochistan, various provincial departments have announced thousands of vacancies for the recruitment process. The process of tests and interviews is underway in different departments.

Sardar Akhtar Mengal also tweeted 

Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal also took to Twitter and asked the BAP led government to answer questions raised by Gohram Bugti in the video. Liaquat Shahwani however responded that the chief minister has taken the notice of the lawmaker’s video and directed the concerned officials to submit a report in this regard.

JWP had backed Jam Kamal Khan led government in Balochistan and Pakistan Tehrik in Insaf (PTI) led government in Islamabad after the 2018 general elections.
