QUETTA: A police officer was injured in a hand grenade attack in the provincial capital on Tuesday night.

Police sources said unknown terrorists lobbed a hand grenade at a police mobile in the Nawan Killi area of the city. As a result of the attack, a police assistant sub inspector was injured.

The injured police officer was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. The attackers escaped unhurt from the spot.

Police reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.
