QUETTA: In a pivotal meeting at the CM Secretariat, U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome and Consul General Karachi Conrard Trrible engaged with Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki to discuss transformative projects aimed at bolstering the mineral-rich Balochistan province’s appeal for foreign investment.

CM Domki highlighted the enduring impact of ongoing U.S. assistance initiatives in Balochistan, spanning peace, education, women’s economic empowerment, and communication sectors. Recognizing the American government’s substantial contributions to education, particularly for girls, the Chief Minister emphasized the positive strides made in these critical areas.

Capabilities In CounterTerrorism Discussed

The provision of vehicles and modern equipment to the Balochistan Police emerged as a key facet of discussions, with a focus on enhancing the government’s capabilities in counterterrorism, crime prevention, and modern investigative processes.

Significantly, the empowerment of women in Balochistan through business opportunities took center stage, underlining its extraordinary importance for overall development.

CM Domki underscored the establishment of long-lasting diplomatic and bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States, urging an increase in trade volume between the two nations.

Mutual Respect A Cornerstone in Pak-US Relations

Ambassador Blome expressed optimism about the positive trajectory of U.S.-Pakistan relations, citing mutual respect as a cornerstone. He praised the hospitable and sincere nature of the people of Balochistan, emphasizing the province’s key representation in major positions within Pakistan’s government.

Highlighting ongoing U.S. assistance projects, Ambassador Blome outlined the commitment to peace, justice, and sustainable social development in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He acknowledged the unwavering support of the United States and international organizations during the recent floods in Balochistan and Sindh.
