KHUZDAR: A child lost his life and another eight children were injured in a hand grenade explosion in Balochistan’s Wadh area on Tuesday. Levies sources said the hand grenade exploded inside a madrassah in the Zarchain area of Wadh Tehsil of Khuzdar district.

Hand grenade exploded inside a madrassah

Abdul Manaf, a police officer told Daily Quetta Voice that the children were “playing with the hand grenade” when it suddenly exploded. Nine children suffered injuries. However, one child succumbed to injuries in hospital.

The injured children were rushed to Wadh Hospital for medical treatment. However, two seriously injured children were taken to the district headquarters hospital Khuzdar for medical treatment.

Levies, police cordoned off the area

Levies and police reached the area and started an investigation into the incident. “We have cordoned off the area”, Abdul Manaf, the police officer informed. He said no arrest was made in connection with the blast.
