QUETTA: Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Ali Mardan Domki took notice of sugar smuggling to neighboring countries through the province on Friday evening. The caretaker CM has directed all concerned deputy commissioners and concerned departments to make sure an end to sugar smuggling.

The increase in sugar smuggling is an additional burden on the people and harmful to the country’s economy, the CM said in a statement issued here.  The Chief Minister’s directive to ensure effective measures to prevent sugar smuggling was formally issued to all commissioners and deputy commissioners and law enforcement agencies.

All departments should prepare a  coordinated action plan: CM Domki Directs

All relevant institutions should prepare a coordinated action plan to prevent the smuggling of sugar. the Chief Minister directed. Law enforcement agencies and the district administration should take full action against the elements involved in the smuggling of sugar, he ordered.

Anti-sugar smuggling cell to be established in the Home Department

The Prime Minister’s directive to establish an anti-sugar smuggling cell in the Home Department Balochistan, Mr. Domki stated.

He mentioned that the common man has to bear the result of sugar smuggling in the form of inflation. We will ensure the solution of public problems”, the Chief Minister stated. Appreciation of the performance of FC Balochistan for taking four trucks of sugar into custody, the Chief Minister concluded.
