MUSLIM BAGH: A woman was tortured to death in Balochistan’s Muslim Bagh area the other day. Muhammad Rafiq Qaisrani, the SHO Muslim Bagh told the daily Quetta Voice that husband identified as Muhammad Sadiq and brother-in-law identified as Malik Inaam have been accused of torturing the woman to death. Blunt weapons were used while killing the woman, Qaisrani said.
Police registered FIR against the two accused in connection with the brutal murder of a woman. However, no arrest was made till the filing of this report.
The woman was the mother of five children. Locals who declined to be named because of the sensitivity of the matter told the daily Quetta Voice that the accused first announced the natural death of the woman in Masjid. However, relatives of the woman reacted and demanded of the police and district administration to intervene and conduct an inquiry. Assistant Commissioner Muslim Bagh, Muneer Ahmed Durrani intervened and ordered the postmortem.
Finally, postmortem was conducted and it was found that woman was beaten and tortured to death.
