Hitherto, 6,570 pilgrims entered from Iran into Pakistan : Zahoor Buledi
4,989 pilgrims sent to their home provinces from Balochistan

QUETTA: A total of 6, 570 Zaireen (Shia Pilgrims) have entered from Iran into Pakistan since the outbreak of novel coronavirus in the neighboring country. This information was given by finance minister Balochistan, Zahoor Buledi while addressing a press conference in Quetta on Sunday evening. Officials of the provincial disaster management authority were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Buledi informed that 4,989 Zaireen have been sent to their home provinces including Sindh, Punjab and KhuberPukhtoonkhwa so far.
Commenting on steps taken by the government after the lockdown, the minister said the data of around 800000 daily wage workers, deserving and needy people was prepared to provide them foodstuff by the government. For this purpose, Rs. 2 billion 40 crores were allocated by the Balochistan government.
In response to a question, Mr. Buledi said, “no emergency this time”. We are capable to tackle the situation, he added. He said Rs. 1 billion were released to the PDMA to cope with the situation developed in the aftermath of outbreak of coronavirus.
In Balochistan, only seven local people were tested positive for the novel coronavirus whereas, 131 Zaireen were tested positive for the virus, he said.
