QUETTA: Students of Bolan Medical University have demanded of the provincial government to address their grievances and solve their problems. The students staged a noisy protest demonstration inside the campus to mount pressure on the authorities to accept their demands.
The students chanted full-throated slogans against the vice chancellor and urged upon the provincial government to look into the matters of students. Quetta Voice tried to speak to the vice chancellor to get his version but no response from his side.
Addressing a press conference, Dr. Kaleem Bugti, the head of students action committee voiced concern over what he claimed over reduction in scholarships, increase in fees and delayed in examinations. “Since the college got university status, examinations have not been held on time”, Dr. Bugti claimed at a press conference in Quetta Press Club. He said the students were forced to stage protest demonstrations rather than studying. He said the BMC was a prestigious medical institution and the government must take steps to make sure the sanctity of the institution and save the precious time of students of Balochistan.
