QUETTA: In a recent statement, Balochistan’s Information Minister, Jan Achakzai, has claimed that Balochistan National Party (M) Chief Akhtar Mengal is embroiled in a land dispute with adversaries in Wadh Tehsil of Khuzdar District.

Section 144 imposed in Quetta on the court’s directives

The government has made multiple efforts to mediate between the conflicting parties, but Akhtar Mengal has not dispatched representatives to two crucial meetings, the information minister stated.

He explained that section 144 in Quetta, mandated by the Balochistan High Court, has placed a ban on public gatherings in the city. The government is resolute in ensuring that major highways remain unobstructed, he mentioned.

Achakzai asks Mengal to postpone public gathering

Jan Achakzai has appealed to Sardar Akhtar Mengal to postpone any planned public gatherings in Quetta and to collaborate with the government in upholding the court’s directives. He emphasized that failure to comply with the state’s authority could lead to legal repercussions.
