QUETTA: Sajid Tareen Advocate tendered resignation from the position of the Prosecutor General Balochistan on Friday evening.

“I have decided to step down as PG Balochistan”, Mr. Tareen said. Sajid Tareen Advocate is the central leader of the Balochistan National Party (Mengal). The Balochistan government under the former Chief Minister, Mir Quddus Bizenjo led government had appointed Mr. Tareen as the Prosecutor General of Balochistan.

Sajid Tareen belongs to BNP

When asked about the reason behind the resignation, Mr. Tareen said human rights violations increased in Balochistan in the aftermath of establishing caretaker government in the province. “ It is very difficult to keep continue my job with the current government”, he explained.

Sajid Tareen Advocate completed one and half year as PG Balochistan. Constitutionally, I had more than two and years for this job, he mentioned. However, he reiterated that working for him under the current set up was not possible for him.
