MASTUNG: A personnel of the Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) was martyred and his brother was seriously injured in a gun attack in the Mastung district of Balochistan on Friday. Police sources said unknown accused opened fire in the Killi Baqi area of Kanak tehsil of Mastung district.
The firing left one ATF personnel identified as Muhammad Ibrahim martyred and his brother Muhammad Saqib seriously injured. The injured was rushed to Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Hospital for medical treatment.

Police and levies personnel reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. Initial investigation suggests the incident appears to be an act of targeted killing in the district. Mastung is considered to be one of the most sensitive districts of Balochistan. In the past, militants have repeatedly targeted security forces, pro-government politicians and the minority ethnic Shia Hazara traveling to Iran in the area.
