QUETTA: Speakers paid rich tribute to 56 martyred lawyers, journalists and other civilians martyred in a deadly suicide bombing seven years back. The seventh death anniversary of martyred lawyers was observed in Quetta. Political parties, members of the legal fraternity and other organizations organized seminars to shed light on the struggle of the fallen heroes.
“We cannot forget our heroes”, Governor Balochistan, Malik Wali Kakar told a seminar organized by the Shaheed Baz Muhammad Foundation at a local hotel. He said the lawyers struggled for the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.

The Governor said the government would continue to support the families of lawyers and others martyred in the tragic incident. Founder of the SBMKF, Dr. Lal Kakar, senior lawyers Muhammad Yaseen Azad, Munir Ahmed Kakar, Qari Rehmatullah and others also addressed the seminar.
In their address, the speakers paid rich tribute to the fallen heroes and termed the incident as extremely tragic and heartbreaking. They vowed to keep continue the mission of the martyred lawyers for supremacy of the constitution and rule of law in the country.

The Awami National Party (ANP) also organized a seminar in Quetta. Provincial President of ANP, Asghar Khan Achakzai, seasoned politician Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Jan Muhammad Buledi of the National Party (NP) and other leaders addressed the seminar and paid rich tribute to the lawyers.
The speakers mentioned that the lawyers’ martyrdom was a great loss for the country and nation. They demanded of the provincial and federal governments to make sure of the implementation of the recommendations of the judicial commission headed by Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
They vowed to continue the mission of martyred lawyers in the country.
