TURBAT: At least two people were killed in a firing incident in the Kech district of Balochistan on Wednesday. Police sources said an unknown accused opened fire and killed two people in Turbat bazaar.

Police said the victims belonged to Sindh province. They were identified as Muhammad Naeem and Noor Elahi. The dead bodies were shifted to the district headquarters hospital Turbat. Police and frontier corps personnel reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. Panic prevailed in the area in the aftermath of the attack.

In the past, labourers have been repeatedly attacked in Kech and other parts of Balochistan.

The motive behind the attack could not be ascertained immediately.

In another incident, a decomposed dead body was found in Balochistan’s Noshki district. Locals of the area had spotted the dead body and informed the officials.

Levies sources said Tahir Khan Mengal, a resident of Union Council Dak in the border area of Nushki, went missing after leaving his home three days ago. The buried body of a man named Tahir Khan was found in collaboration with the frontier corps and locals of the area. The victim was killed with the worst violence and buried by putting the body in a bag.

The local people expressed their anger over the incident and demanded the district administration conduct a transparent inquiry and punish the accused.
