Unknown miscreants attacked several trucks loaded with coal in Balochistan’s Harnai district on Tuesday morning. Levies sources said armed men stopped trucks near Harnai and burnt coal inside trucks. The incident happened near the Mangi dam area of Harnai district.

Thick black smoke could be seen from quite far away after trucks caught fire. The attackers fled away from the spot unhurt.

No report of any human loss

There was no report of any human loss as a result of the attack. Levies and police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. The truck and mines owners demanded of the police and other law enforcement agencies to arrest the culprits behind the attack. Security was also tightened in and around Harnai district in the aftermath of armed attack at loaded trucks of coal.

Harnai has rich coal reservoirs and the militants have repeatedly attacked coal mines and abducted coal miners in the past.
