The Balochistan High Court (BHC) adjourned the hearing of treason case against former prime minister Imran Khan till June 7th. A lawyer of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Abdul Razzaq Shar had submitted a petition in the BHC seeking registration of treason case against the former premier.

A division bench of the BHC comprising Chief Justice Mr. Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Mr. justice Muhammad Amir Rana heard the case. None appeared on behalf of the former PM Imran Khan in the case.

Further hearing was adjourned till Wednesday, June 7, 2023. On behalf of the representative of the federal government, Additional Attorney General Hafiz Rauf Atta and Deputy Attorney General Mohammad Naseem Kasi were directed by the court to file a reply in this regard.

Former President Supreme Court Bar Association Amanullah Kunrani appeared on behalf of the petitioner while no one appeared on behalf of the defendants Secretary National Assembly and Imran Khan.

  1. What a farcicial comedy generated through political clowns. This is a perfect case of Bench fixing.
    The petitioner and the Bench all belongs to the same party.
    The purpose seems to entertain an audience through a highly exaggerated, ridiculous, absurd, and improbable legal matter.
