6 policemen martyred in Jaffarabad during operation against dacoits

At least six policemen were martyred during an operation against dacoits in Balochistan’s Jaffarabad area. Police launched an operation against the dacoits involved in various incidents of robberies in the Jaffarabad area of Balochistan, police sources said.

The martyred policemen pursued the dacoits in the Jacobabad district of Sindh province, police sources said. They stated that the dacoits opened fire on the policemen and martyred three of them on the spot.

Whereas, three policemen succumbed to injuries on their way to the hospital. The incident happened in the Maulada police station area of Jacobabad, police said.

The dead bodies of the martyred policemen were shifted to the Jaffarabad district headquarters hospital. The funeral prayer of the martyred policemen was offered in the Dera Allah Yar police station. A large number of people participated in the funeral prayer of the martyred policemen.

A huge contingent of policemen from Balochistan and Sindh provinces moved to apprehend the culprits involved in the attack. So far, there was no report of the arrest of any culprit. The martyred policemen include Inspector Tayyab Umrani, Nisar, and Wahab.

CM Bizenjo strongly condemns the attack

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the attack and expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives. Mr. Bizenjo directed the police and district administration to arrest the culprits and bring them to book.

“The culprits would not be spared”, the CM stated in a statement issued here on Wednesday. The killers would be awarded exemplary punishment, Mr. Bizenjo said.

Home Minister Balochistan

Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove strongly condemned the attack and directed the police to arrest the culprits behind the attack. In a statement issued after the attack, Mr. Langove said the Balochistan government has also contacted the Sindh government with regard to the location of the dacoits involved in the attack. He expressed the hope that the attackers would be brought to justice soon.
