Levies force foils major terrorism bid in Bhag Balochistan

Levies force on Wednesday foiled a major bid of terrorism in the Bhag area of Balochistan. Levies sources said unknown miscreants had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Nari Gaj area of Bhag Tehsil of Kachhi district on the roadside.

Acting on a tip-off, levies personnel reached the spot and defused the IED planted on the roadside. Levies stated that the miscreants were planning to target security forces and civilians in the area. Timely intelligence information enabled the levies force to foil the terror bid.

Jaffar Express narrowly escapes a blast

Levies defused the IED a day after the Jaffar Express narrowly escaped a bomb explosion in the Sibi district of Balochistan. The bomb exploded when the passenger train Jaffar Express passed from the area.

Security in the area has been tightened in the Kachhi and Sibi districts of Balochistan after the recovery of the IED and the incident of the Jaffar Express. Security personnel has been deployed on all key points to avert any untoward incident in the area.
