Security forces apprehended a key militant commander identified as Gulzar Imam after an innovatively conceived, carefully planned and meticulously executed operation, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) described Gulzar Imam, the founder of the outlawed Baloch National Army (BNA) as a ‘high-value target’.
“Gulzar Imam alias Shambay was apprehended after an innovatively conceived, carefully planned, and meticulously executed operation, spanned over months over various geographical locations,” the military’s media wing said in a statement today.
The statement, however, did not disclose the exact location where the militant was apprehended.
The report of the apprehension of a wanted terrorist surfaced on the same day as a high-profile National Security Committee (NSC) meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
