A police team already left for Lahore to arrest Imran Khan

A police team has already left for Lahore to arrest the PTI Chief Imran Khan in connection with the registration of the FIR in Quetta. So far, the team has not reached Zaman Park Lahore, the residence of the former premier.

Similarly, FIRs were registered against the PTI leaders Azam Khan Swati and Shehbaz Gill earlier. However, the Balochistan High Court (BHC) ordered the quashing of FIRs against both PTI leaders and ordered that no multiple FIRs can be registered in one case against an accused.

Former PM Imran Khan’s speech

On March 5, an Islamabad police team sent to Lahore to arrest Imran for skipping proceedings in the Toshakhana case returned empty-handed after the PTI chairman evaded the arrest in Zaman Park Lahore.

Shortly after the police returned, the PTI chief addressed his supporters at his Zaman Park residence where the contingent supported by the Lahore police had arrived to take him to the federal capital.

Eventually, the team decided to call off the “operation” since PTI leader Shibli Faraz, who is also Imran’s chief of staff, informed that the PTI chairman was “not available”. This news was widely discussed on social media platforms.
