Balochistan police left for Lahore to arrest the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan. “Yes, a police team left for Lahore to arrest the former premier”, a senior police official told Daily Quetta Voice via telephone. He requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

The Bijli road police station in Quetta had registered a first information report (FIR) against the PTI Chief on an application of a citizen.

Former Prime Minister wanted by Quetta Police

Khalil Kakar, a resident of Nawa Killi had submitted an application at the police station accusing the PTI Chief of inciting ‘hatred’ against state institutions.

“The former PM is now wanted by the Quetta police”, the official said, giving no other details about the number of the police party and their location.

The Federal Interior Minister, Rana Sanaullah had announced a few months back that the former premier would be kept in the Mach Jail if arrested. So far, there was no word about the arrest of the former premier by the Balochistan government.
