A teenage girl killed in Balochistan’s Barkhan was laid to rest by the Edhi foundation as heirless in Quetta on Saturday evening. “We buried the victim in Quetta as no heir of the girl came”, an Edhi volunteer told Daily Quetta Voice via telephone.

The two sons of Khan Muhammad Marri, a local tribesman have already been buried in Quetta. The dead bodies of two men and a teenage girl were brought to Quetta by protesting tribesmen.

Jehangir Marri, the secretary general of Marri Itehad was leading the protesters who staged a three-day sit-in in the Red Zone of Quetta to mount pressure on the authorities to arrest the culprits behind the killings.

Khan Muhammad Marri had accused the Balochistan Minister, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran of killing his family members. Marri earlier claimed that Granaz his wife was also killed by the minister. However, she was found alive by the leveis and police in the mountains of Barkhan and Kohlu.

Balochistan minister, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran was arrested by police for interrogation. Police also got his 10-day remand from the court.

The Balochistan government established a joint interrogation team (JIT) to probe into the incident. Senor police officers are part of the JIT investigating the triple murders in the Barkhan district of Balochistan.
