Discrimination on the basis of language is inhuman: Achakzai

Language is gifted by Allah and thus every language irrespective of the number of its speakers is unique and important. Therefore, we demand due status for our own language and the same for other languages too, said Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the Chairman of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) while addressing a gathering on the eve of world languages day on Tuesday evening.

In connection with celebrating the international day of mother languages and commemorating the sacrifices laid by the students of Dhaka university on February 21, 2023, PKMAP held a public gathering in Quetta.
While addressing the gathering, the chairman of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mahmood Khan Achakzai maintained that discrimination on the bases of language, ethnicity, creed, and caste is inhuman. Our party believes in diversity, plurality, justice that provide and democracy that prerequisites of integration, development and peace, and the time proved that our stance is just, Achakzai added.

Mahmood Khan further added that Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party is the representative of Pakhtun and takes pride in its struggle for the unification and political and economic rights of Pakhtuns. The inflation and poverty are testing the limits of the people and might stir a political storm if remained unchecked, Achakzai warned once again. In these hard times, he appealed to the well-off segment of society and his party workers to take care of the needy and poor in their neighborhoods and surroundings.
He repeated his stance that the situation is so precarious that mere elections before holding a round table conference of stakeholders to reach a consensus on who and how to govern the country.
Achakzay advised Pakistan to change its Afghan policy for the sake of durable peace. Such change can also help to mitigate its current poly-crises, Achakzai added. Besides, he also urges other regional power to abide by the principles of non-interference in each other affairs for the sake of peace, security, and development of the region.
