A gas leakage blast claimed the lives of four children in the Killi Badezai Kharotabad Quetta. Police sources said all the children belong to one family.

Two women were also injured in the explosion that destroyed the mud walled house of the hapless family.

The injured women were rushed to the Bolan Medical Complex hospital for medical treatment.

Police sources said the family was sleeping when the room filled with gas. When early in the morning, they woke up, there was a blast.

This incident has come just a day after the gas leakage claimed four lives including father and three sons in the Jan Muhammad road area of Quetta.

Gas leakage incidents have claimed eight lives during the last 24 hours in the provincial capital. Quetta and other parts of Balochistan are in the grip of chilly weather.

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has failed to provide gas supply to the people. Gas load shedding continues to claim precious human lives in the city.
