Members of the legal fraternity observed boycott of courts in Balochistan against the killing of senior lawyer Latif Afridi on Tuesday.

The Balochistan Bar Council (BBC) had given the call of boycott to mourn and condemn the killing of former president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Latif Afridi.

“This is a sad day for us”, Rahib Buledi, the senior lawyers leader said in a statement issued on Tuesday morning. He said the killing of senior lawyer in the court premises exposes the security of judicial places.

No lawyers appeared before the court of law across the province to mourn and protest the killing of senior lawyer.

Latif Afridi was killed in a firing incident in the premises of Peshawar High Court (PHC). Police arrested the killer and termed the killing as the result of a tribal enmity.
