Armed accused opened fire and injured two people in Balochistan’s Sorab town on Wednesday morning. Levies sources said the armed accused opened fire and seriously wounded Mir Haris Sinhari and Altaf Hussain. The assailants sped away on their motorcycle after the attack.
The injured were rushed to Sorab hospital for medical treatment. Police and levies reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. The motive behind the attack could not be ascertained immediately, levies sources said. No arrest was made in connection with the attack in Sorab till the filing of this report.
In Balochistan’s Bolan mountains, an improvised explosive device (IED) went off on an under-construction road in the Bhag area. The blast partially damaged the road and there was no human loss as a result of the blast.
Levies personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.
