Traders to stage sit in against robbery incidents on Quetta Karachi highway

QUETTA: The traders’ community has announced to stage a sit-in on the Quetta Karachi highway against increasing incidents of robberies. Rahim Agha, the President Balochistan’s traders community said incidents of looting and robberies were on a constant rise on the Quetta-Karachi highway.

He said it was very difficult for the traders’ community to keep continuing their business on the highway linking Balochistan with Sindh because of robbery incidents. “Traders will stage a sit-in at Lak Pass against this lawlessness”, Mr. Agha said in a statement issued on Sunday evening.

National Party (NP) has announced support the sit-in called by the traders’ community against the increasing incidents of robberies on the highway. In a statement issued by the party secretariat, the NP has decided to support the protest of the traders’ community against incidents of kidnapping and robberies on the highway.
