District and Session Judge Quetta Muhammad Dawood Nasar convicted an accused in the rape case for three years of rigorous imprisonment on Friday. The court also fined the convict.

According to the prosecution the accused named Umeed Ali had raped a 5 years old boy in the Hazara town area of Quetta.

A case was filed against the convict at the police station. It has been stated that he raped the child on June 20, 2020.

The case against which the challan was filed was presented in the court, while pronouncing the safe verdict of the case, the judge of the court sentenced the convict to 3 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000.

In case the accused fails to pay the fine, his imprisonment time will be increased.
