GTAB called off hunger strike after acceptance of demands

QUETTA: Government Teachers Association Balochistan (Constitutional) called off its 37th days hunger strike till death after acceptance of demands. The GTAB observed 37th days of hunger strike till death for the degradation of the junior teachers.

“We have decided to end our strike”, Mujeebullah Gharsheen, the President of the GTAB (Constitutional) announced on Friday evening. Provincial ministers Naseebullah Marri, Muhammad Khan Lehri, Noor Muhammad Dummar, MPAs Malik Naseer Shahwani, Nasarullah Khan Zarai, and others were also present on the occasion.

The provincial ministers assured the protesting teachers that the Chief Minister Balochistan has already issued directives regarding the degradation of the junior teachers. “Government has decided to upgrade all junior teachers”, Naseebullah Marri, the Balochistan Minister for Education said.

The minister assured the notification about the degradation of the junior teachers would be issued very soon.
