Staff Reporter:

At least two people were killed and four injured in a firing incident in Quetta’s Pashtoonabad area on Monday night. Police sources said armed men opened fire and killed two people on the spot. Four people were injured in the attack.
The injured were shifted to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Police reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.
Initial investigation suggests that the incident was the result of a tribal dispute. Panic prevailed in the area in the aftermath of the attack.

Relatives and heirs of the victims brought the dead bodies to the main chowk outside the Balochistan Assembly. They were demanding of the provincial government and police to ensure the arrest of the killers. “The main killer is an employee in the police department”, one of the protesters said.

He said despite repeated appeals, the police have not taken any action against the main culprit behind the killing.

Traffic remained suspended on the main chowk outside the assembly because of the protest by the protesters.
