QUETTA: Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (JUI) and Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) formed an alliance for the second and third phases of the local bodies elections in the province. Addressing a joint press conference, JUI F Amir Balochistan and federal minister, Maulana Abdul Wasey and Senior Deputy Chairman of the PKMAP, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal announced the formation of the alliance.
“We will bring joint candidates for union councils, tehsil, and districts of Balochistan”, Maulana Abdul Wasey told reporters. Other leaders of the two parties were also present on the occasion.

The two parties have also formed committees to discuss modalities and the method to make the alliance a success, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal stated.
The two parties have won majority seats in Killa Abdullah, Pishin, Ziarat, Killa Saifullah and other parts of northern Balochistan.
“This alliance would prove to be a positive stride”, Maulana Wasey said. The leaders of the two parties including a religious and nationalist party urged their workers and leaders to forget unity and foil what they call the conspiracies of others.
