NA Speaker Asad Qaiser, Suri resigned ahead of Vote of no confidence

ISLAMABAD: Speaker of National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri have tendered resignations a short while ago. The Speaker and DS belong to Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI). Their resignations have come before the vote of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, one of the panels of chairmen assumed the charge as the Speaker of the NA. Voting on a no-confidence motion is currently underway in the national assembly. Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) cast his first vote.
