Blast kills one and injured seven in Awaran Balochistan

Aziz Marri:

A man and woman were killed in a firing incident in Balochistan’s Jaffarabad district on Thursday. Police sources said armed men opened fire and killed a man and woman in the Mohbat Shakh area of Dera Allah Yar.

Both the victims received multiple bullet injuries, police said. People of the area informed the police after the incident. Police shifted the dead bodies to the district headquarters hospital in Jaffarabad.

The man killed in the firing was identified as Liaquat Ali. However, the woman could not be immediately identified. Police said the accused had opened fire from a very close range.

The reason behind the incident couldn’t be immediately known. “We are investigating the incident”, a police official said. He said it was premature to link the incident with ‘honor’ killing.

“Honor’ killing has claimed scores of precious human lives in Jaffarabad, Naseerabad and other parts of Balochistan.
