Wearing a helmet as a road safety campaigner, Qazi Aman Baloch launched 750kms long journey from Quetta to Turbat. As a road safety campaigner, Mr. Baloch left for Turbat, Balochistan’s Southern city from Quetta on Monday morning. It may be mentioned here that Qazi Aman had lost a brother in a traffic accident in Balochistan.

“This is a message for the youngsters to wear helmets while riding bike and bicycle”, Qazi Aman said prior to leaving for his home city. He was riding a bicycle to reach his destination. Rampant road accidents have claimed thousands of precious human lives across Balochistan, which covers half of the country in terms of area.


“I am carrying all necessary food and water during my travel”, Mr. Baloch said

“I am carrying all necessary food and water during my travel”, Mr. Baloch said. He said the major reason behind launching this tiresome journey was to create awareness among the youth of Balochistan to take precautionary measures and avoid reckless riding and driving on highways.

Sources in the medical emergency response revealed that 70 percent of accidents take place on bikes across the province. Since most of the riders do not wear helmets, therefore, most of the accidents occur, Aziz Ahmed Jamali, the former Chief of the MERC said.
