From Our Correspondent :

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday acquitted the brother of a social media star, Qandeel Baloch in her murder. The brother of Qandeel Baloch had spent less than six years behind the bars.

Before her death in 2016, Baloch, 26, became famous for her posts that were deemed suggestive and immoral by many in the country.

Her brother Muhammad Waseem was arrested and later sentenced to life imprisonment by a trial court for strangling her, brazenly telling the press he had no remorse for the slaying because her behavior was “intolerable”.

Sardar Mahboob, Waseem’s layer, confirmed to reporters that his client had been acquitted.
