Addressing a press conference, the YDA office-bearer, Dr. Bahar Shah said that doctors would shut down vaccination centers and suspend their services there. Dr. Hafeez Mandokhail, the Chairman of the YDA was also present during the press conference.

Other YDA leaders were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Shah said young doctors would also halt their duties at COVID19 vaccination centers and other places across the province. “Government has failed to address our grievances despite repeated dialogues”, the YDA leader said.

Poor patients remained the worst sufferers of doctors strike

Young doctors have been protesting against the government for last more than four months. Poor and deserving patients remained the worst sufferers because of the boycott of doctors from OPDs. Daily over 10,000 patients from various parts of Balochistan come to OPDs at civil hospital and Bolan Medical Complex Hospital.

YDA has also announced to shut down offices of district health officers (DHOs) throughout Balochistan. “Rulers are least bothered about the plight of patients”, Dr. Shah claimed. He said the protest would be expanded from tomorrow across Balochistan to mount pressure on the government for acceptance of demands.
