GoB releases Rs.3 billion for Quetta package projects

Balochistan government has released Rs.3 billion for development projects underway under the Quetta Package. Chief Secretary Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana chaired a high-level meeting regarding the Package on Sunday.

Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Hafiz Abdul Basit, Secretary Finance, Abdul Rehman Buzdar, Secretary Communication and Works Department, Dr. Omar Babar, Principal Secretary to the CM Laal Jan Jaffar, Commissioner Quetta Divisoin, Sohail ur Rehman and Secretary Implementation Abdullah Khan participated in the meeting.

 

Fourteen development projects were included in the Quetta package and Rs.6 billion was allocated for the execution of the projects, the meeting was informed. Out of Rs.6bs, currently, the government has released Rs.3bs.

Speaking on the occasion, the CS directed the concerned departments and officials to make sure timely completion of Joint Road, Sariab Road, Sabzal Road, and other projects. He said the government was committed to ensuring the beauty of the provincial capital.

“No compromise over the quality of work”, Mathar Niaz Rana stated.
