Levies foil major terror bid in Chaman

Levies force foiled a major bid in Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering city with neighboring Afghanistan on Wednesday. The terrorists were trying to smuggle weapons inside the country, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chaman, Captain (R) Jumadad Khan Mandokhail told a news conference.

He said the levies force has also seized 1,000 rounds of SMG guns. The DC Chaman stated that weapons smugglers escaped during an exchange of fire with levies personnel. He however said that raids were being conducted to apprehend the weapons smugglers in the area.

Mr. Mandokhaili said that levies and personnel of quick response force were patrolling in the district to make sure peace.
