Accountability Court Quetta convicts food official to 5 years RI

The Accountability Court (AC) Quetta convicted an official of the food department to 5 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of more than Rs. 100 million in an embezzlement case. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed a reference against the accused Amir Bakhsh Khosa, the in charge of the food center Hub.
Judge of the AC Quetta, Munir Ahmed Shahwani announced the judgment on Tuesday morning. The senior prosecutor of the NAB, Zamir Chilgari Advocate appeared on behalf of NAB in the court. NAB investigation proved the involvement of the accused in the embezzlement in more than 23,000 bags of wheat in Hub.
As per the judgment of the court, the accused cannot hold any public office for 10 years.
