CM Bizenjo issues directives to districts after NDMA’s rainfall forecast

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has issued directives to districts to take precautionary measures in the aftermath of rain and snowfall forecast by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

All departments in districts should take all necessary steps to tackle any emergency situation in the case of rainfall and snowfall in the province, an official handout issued on Thursday said. The CM Bizenjo has directed the concerned departments to hold emergency meetings and evolve a strategy in this regard.

The concerned departments were directed to move all machinery to Killa Saifullah, Kalat, Chaman, and other parts of Balochistan. All the districts were directed to establish control rooms to monitor the situation in the aftermath of rainfall and snowfall forecast.

The CM Balochistan stated that a monitoring cell was established in the CM Secretariat to ensure monitoring of the situation. The CM Secretariat has directed all districts to make sure sending of reports about the rainfall and snowfall.
