CM Balochistan assures recovery of missing students

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has assured that missing students would be recovered soon. Speaking on point of order during the Balochistan Assembly session, Mr. Bizenjo said the government was making all efforts to ensure the recovery of the missing students.

“I have already established a committee to probe into the matter”, the CM told the house. Earlier, the opposition lawmakers expressed serious concern over the continued missing of two students of Balochistan University.

“We are in contact with students and would solve the issue soon”, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, the Balochistan Minister who heads the committee stated. Akhtar Hussain Langove, a Balochistan National Party Mengal lawmaker demanded an unhurt recovery of the students.

Students across Balochistan have been protesting against the missing of two students from the university. All universities remain closed for the last few days on the call of students for the recovery of missing colleagues.

“We want an unhurt recovery of the missing students”, Balach Qadir, one of the protesters said. Students have also established a protest camp outside Balochistan University to mount pressure on the government for the safe recovery of the students.

Ameer Hamza, the Spokesman UoB stated that the Vice-Chancellor and other concerned officers of the university were holding talks with protesting students to ensure restoration of educational activities.

Students also boycotted classes in the Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, and Bolan Medical University during the protest.
