Quddus Bizenjo to distribute Jam Kamal’s portfolios among BAP, allies

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has decided to distribute all ministries among members of the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and coalition partners. “Bizenjo will distribute the ministries, former CM Jam Kamal had kept with himself”, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, the Spokesman BAP said in a video released to the press.
The former CM Jam Kamal had kept the portfolios of health, planning and development, mines and minerals and others. Distribution of these portfolios was a longstanding demand of coalition partners and BAP lawmakers.
“Consultation underway regarding distribution of portfolios among the members”, Sardar Khetran said. He however said so far no decision has been made with regard to the allotment of portfolios to the BAP members and coalition partners.

“70 % Balochistan cabinet would be the same”, a BAP senior leader told Quetta Voice. He requested anonymity. The BAP leader hinted that Saleem Khan Khoso, Arif Jan Muhammad Hassani, Mir Ziaullah Langove may not retain their portfolios since new new aspirants eyes are focused on these departments.
Sardar Khetran stated that reservations regarding development projects in Pashtoon dominated areas of Balochistan would be addressed. He said the CM Bizenjo has in principle decided to ensure equal development of all districts and areas of the province.
Bizenjo held consultative meetings with BAP leaders
Chief Minister Quddus Bizenjo has also called on BAP leaders including Senator Saeed Hashmi, Nawabzada Tariq Magsi, ailing speaker Jan Muhammad Jamali to develop consensus about the distribution of portfolios. Jam Kamal Khan had tendered resignation as the CM of Balochistan in the aftermath of mounting pressure on the part of BAP’s angry lawmakers. The angry members were also demanding some portfolios, the former CM had kept with himself since the establishment of government in 2018.
