Governor, CJ BHC urged to recover ‘missing’ BAP lawmakers

QUETTA: Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) angry members and joint opposition have demanded of Governor Syed Zahoor Agha and Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC) to take notice of the ‘missing’ of four lawmakers.

Four members of the Balochistan Assembly including Akbar Askani, Laila Tareen, Bushra Rind, and Mahjabeen Sheran have mysteriously gone ‘missing’ since October 20th, the day when the no-confidence motion was tabled against the CM Jam Kamal Khan. However, 34 MPAs were present inside the house on the eve of the no-confidence motion against the CM.

“Jam Kamal is involved in the kidnapping of four members”, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, the BAP legislators claimed. The charge was vehemently denied by CM Balochistan.

Opposition legislators call on Governor Balochistan

The opposition leader Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate and other legislators from the BAP angry faction called on Governor Balochistan Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha. They urged the Governor to play his role in the recovery of the missing MPAs. The Governor assured cooperation and advised following law and constitution, an official handout issued on Friday evening said.

“We appeal the CJ BHC Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan to take notice of the kidnapping”, Zahoor Buledi, the President of his own faction of BAP said. Mr. Buledi took to social media network Twitter and accused the government of kidnapping the lawmakers.

BA session on October 25 for no-confidence motion voting

Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Qudoos Bizenjo has convened the assembly session on October 25 for voting on the no-confidence motion against CM Balochistan. “I am ready to face the motion”, Jam Kamal Khan said.

All opposition and BAP angry members are gathered at the residence of speaker Qudoos Bizenjo, the Speaker Balochistan Assembly. “34 out of 65 MPAs taken refuge at the Speaker’s residence”, the BAP acting president Zahoor Buledi said.
