Ziarat: Protest enters fourth day against Mangi Dam incident

From Our Correspondent :

Protest against the Mangi Dam incident entered the fourth day at Ziarat Cross. The protesters including political workers, tribal elders and people from various walks of life have been demanding the arrest of culprits involved in the terrorist incident.

A landmine explosion in Balochistan’s Ziarat district had martyred three levies men including Risaldar Major Muhammad Zaman. The levies men were trying to recover kidnapped laborers when their vehicle hit a landmine in the Mangi Dam area of Ziarat district.

“Our protest will continue till the arrest of the killers”, Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, the Central leader of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) said.

Zia Langove assures the arrest of culprits

Balochistan Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove and other provincial ministers held negotiations with protesters to end the protest. However, the protesters refused to do so. “The government would bring the perpetrators to book”, Mr. Langove assured the protesters.

Awami National Party (ANP) leader Asghar Khan Achakzai also assured that all-out efforts would be made to apprehend the culprits behind the terrorist incident.

The protesters have been chanting full-throated slogans against the government for what they call its failure to protect the lives and properties of the masses. “We want justice for the fallen levies personnel”, Nawab Jogezai said. He warned of expanding the protest to other districts of the province against the incident.

Officials held talks with protesters
