Balochistan launches telemedicine project: Jam Kamal

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Monday said the government has launched a telemedicine project to make sure provision of health facilities to the masses. He expressed these views while talking to Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail at CM Secretariat.

CM Balochistan and the Governor discussed efforts for the eradication of thalassemia in the country. They agreed to make coordinated efforts to contain the disease.

Jam Kamal Khan stated that Balochistan covers half of the country in terms of area and that the health department has introduced a telemedicine project to reach out to people living in remote areas. He said improving the health sector was one of the top priorities of the government.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sindh informed that the anti-thalassemia campaign was launched across the country. “Thalassemia test prior to marriage also under consideration”, Imran Islamail stated.

He said the government was also trying to do legislation in this regard.

CM Balochistan on the occasion mentioned that the master plan for the development of Hanglaj mata was also being prepared by the government. Jam Kamal and Governor Sindh also discussed the promotion of tourism at Hanglaj Mata.
